About This Project

Sailfish of the North is a colored pencil drawing of an Arctic Grayling, known for their painterly dorsal fin. I couldn’t resist recreating this amazing photo taken by Martin Falklind. A reference to it’s saltwater relative the sailfish, and geographically located in northern regions, I felt an apt name for this piece to be Sailfish of the North.
