About This Project

River of No Return is a wall sculpture inspired by the majestic Sawtooth Mountains and the headwaters of the famed Salmon River in Stanley, Idaho. Historically native salmon and steelhead have navigated the longest migration in North America in their quest to spawn new life. However, the numbers of fish returning have dwindled to desperate lows. Constructed by hand using a colorful mosaic of rusty, vintage scrap metal finds.
